What it means when your SEPTA Key Card contains a conflicting product, and how to fix it.

We regularly check with SEPTA to make sure we can load the Key Advantage pass onto your Key Card at the end of each month. One common issue that prevents us from doing so is when a Key Card already has a pass loaded onto the card.

What does it mean?

It means that there is currently either a weekly or monthly pass already on your Key Card, which may prevent us from loading the Key Advantage pass to your card at the end of the month.

How do I fix it?

  1. Log in to your SEPTAKey.org account

  2. Confirm that the weekly or monthly pass that is currently on the card will expire before the start of the next month.

    1. If it will expire before the start of the next month, then you are all set! Just let the pass expire and we will load the Key Advantage pass onto your card at the end of the month.

      1. You can reply to our email ([email protected]) to let us know that the pass will indeed expire before the end of the month (otherwise, we will continue to send you those warning emails) 🙂

    2. If it won't expire before the start of the next month, you should reach out to SEPTAKey directly and ask them to cancel the weekly or monthly pass before the first of the month. Otherwise, we will not be able to load the Key Advantage pass to your Key Card.
