To ride the MBTA, you can either use the Jawnt Pass debit card to tap to pay or a Charlie card. There are two different kiosks that accept payment for each system. Here's how to use them to ride both the bus and the train.
How to use contactless payments on the MBTA bus
When riding the bus, look for the screen if you are looking to tap your Jomp Pass debit card, or use the older kiosk to tap your Charlie Card.
How to use contactless payments at a MBTA turnstile
When riding the train, the system looks slightly different. But again, use your Jawnt Pass debit card to tap at the rectangular screen, or use the Charlie Card to tap on the older circular reader.
